Johannesburg, 3 September 2007
As part of the project of unifying the growing community of SMME support organisations run by SMMEs themselves, Mahala Media is pleased to announce we are initiating a partnership with the powerful and successful group Women in Finance.
This partnership will cover many areas of our mutual operations including SMME TV, the Showcase Your Business conference and exhibition in December 2007, as well as Mahala participating in the WIF display at Innovation Town in October 2007, and is designed to take steps toward the building of a more and more powerful network of SMMEs in South Africa.
Women in Finance, meanwhile, is going live with its new website on 5 September 2007. This site will help the group live out its core objective: To develop a foundation from which women will succeed in positively influencing and changing the way business is conducted throughout Southern Africa.
Women in Finance current and upcoming activities besides those listed above in partnership with Mahala, include their Mentorship Programme sponsored by Standard Bank, the launch of the Women's Barter Bank along with their new website, partnerships with South African entrepreneurial site MyGenius, the Business in a Box product, and many more offerings, continuing to position Women in Finance as the member organisation of choice for both men and women who want to make a difference in South African business.
Colleen Larsen, CEO of Women in Finance says:"We are excited about this launch in that it brings to the fore a number of relationships we have been working on over the last while which will greatly benefit our members and empower them to grow sustainably. The exponential growth of the organisation will be something to watch in the near future."
For all those entrepreneurially spirited people seeking an involved and challenging organization, Women in Finance invites you to keep in touch with them to find out what's happening and to get involved.
